Fallon Henley Returns a New Heel Stable in Intense NXT Match
WWE Fallon Henley was back into action in July after a break, and she alongside Jacy Jayne and Jazmyn Nyx defeated Karmen Petrovic, Lola Vice, and Sol Ruca at NXT Great American Bash. This week, the three performed their first act of presenting themselves as the new heel stable called the Fatal Influence and focused on the NXT rookies they feel are stealing opportunities from wrestlers like them.
After coming back, Henley and Jayne made a match for next week’s NXT against Jakara Jackson and Lash Legend. The match, which was part of a double taping for NXT due to the upcoming WWE event in Berlin, wasn’t easy for Henley. Fightful Select reported that Henley had a “possible broken nose” during the match. It remains unknown when the injury was sustained, however, Henley continued to play putting through the pain and completing the match.
Possible Injury Could Mark First Missed WWE Event Since 2021
Currently, it is still unknown whether Henley will be out of commission for some time as the extent of her injury is yet to be determined. If the injury turns out to be severe, it will be the first time that Henley will have missed any WWE event since his signing in 2021. Until now her physical endurance remains quite high as she competes in at least one match per month, and she does not seem to have severe injuries. Before her WWE stint, Henley only stopped performing in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Besides the premiere of “Fatal Influence,” NXT also promoted the title match for NXT Champion Ethan Page. The former AEW star is expected to make his title defense against the blockbuster TNA wrestler Joe Hendry at the No Mercy PLE on September 1.
Henley’s Grit Tested as NXT Fate Hangs in Balance, No Mercy Showdown Looms
With Fallon Henley and her new friends in Fatal Influence starting to stake their claim on NXT, the path ahead appears to be a difficult one, not least due to Henley’s recent injury, which leaves her NXT future up in the air. Her decision to continue playing the match, with the injured part, shows her tenacity, but only time will tell whether this will be a blessing or a curse in her career. On the other hand, NXT & WWE fans will be in for a treat, as there will be a championship match between Ethan Page and Joe Hendry at No Mercy.
