Indiana Fever Rule Out Caitlin Clark and Chole Bibby Against Seattle Storm
The Indiana Fever ruled out Caitlin Clark and Chloe Bibby for Tuesday night’s game against the Seattle Storm. It is a key game for the Fever, who are tied with the Golden State Valkyries for the final two playoff spots. The Fever play the Los Angeles Sparks on Friday and are a half-game behind Seattle for the No. 6 seed.
Indiana Fever Without Clark and Bibby
The Indiana Fever announced Monday they will be without Clark and Bibby for Tuesday night’s game against the Storm. Bibby will miss her second straight game with a sore knee.
As for Clark, she has not practiced since injuring her right groin back in July. She has been rehabbing a bone bruise on her left ankle, as well as her groin and quad injuries. She did participate in shootaround on Sunday against Minnesota, but still did not play. The Fever have lost two straight to the league-leading Lynx, a team Clark followed closely when she was growing up in Iowa.
Coach Stephanie White has said there is no timetable for Clark’s return. White did say, though, that she hopes Clark returns before the end of the regular season. The Fever lost Guards Aari McDonald, Sydney Colson, and Sophie Cunningham to season-ending injuries.
Indiana Fever Holding Onto Playoff Spot
The Indiana Fever have seven games left in the regular season. They are 19-18 and have lost their last two games. The Fever need to step up their game if they have any chance to hold onto a playoff spot and have Clark back for the playoffs. Bibby will most likely return sooner than Clark. Hopefully, before the regular season is over. She was held out as a precaution.
