The Washington Commanders have hit the reset button. Dan Snyder is gone, and a new group is eager to restore the franchise. The team hired Dan Quinn and Kliff Kingsbury. With the second overall pick, the team is likely to take a player who they hope will be their quarterback for the future. The good news for this team is they have some solid pieces on both sides of the ball, and a good draft could put them into contention sooner than expected.

Mock Draft Analysis
The Washington Commanders will take a quarterback, and I personally am a fan of Drake Maye. He is huge and surprisingly athletic. Washington has solid skill position players in Terry McLaurin, Jahan Dotson, and Brian Robinson. From there, the Commanders need a little bit of everything. My favorite pick is Barton out of Duke. He will be a player no one talks about because he is boring, but he will be a solid pro.
In the late rounds, the value of Jermaine Burton in the fifth round could become a huge steal. Alabama receivers have had successful NFL careers, and Burton could be the latest. Ultimately, the Commanders need a little bit of everything.
The Washington Commanders hope this is the start of something new. Their biggest decision will be the quarterback. If they can nail that pick, it will set them up for many years to come.
