The Baltimore Ravens have had a 100-yard receiver for most weeks this season. Some weeks, it is Zay Flowers, Rashod Bateman, or Isaiah Likely when their aerial attack goes nuclear. This week, it was unsung hero Tylan Wallace, who has stepped up in crucial moments. The Ravens keep finding impact playmakers out of nowhere on their own roster when they need it most in Baltimore.
Tylan Wallace Delivered in the Biggest Moments
After a career mark against the Cincinnati Bengals on Thursday Night, that wasn’t the first time the former 4th-round pick tight roped a sideline at M&T Bank Stadium. This was evident last season against the Los Angeles Rams, as Tylan Wallace returned a punt for a touchdown to win the game in overtime. The wide receiver but mostly special teamer from Oklahoma State, like running back Justice Hill, have been clutch anytime they are all the field when given the opportunity.

Ravens Wide Receiver Room Better Than Ever
Tylan Wallace is their 5th wide receiver on the depth chart, as the Baltimore Ravens recently traded for veteran Diontae Johnson from the Carolina Panthers. However, with him being new to the offense, Wallace got more playing time rotating in with veteran Nelson Agholor, who caught a touchdown against the Bengals.
The 25-year-old pass catcher Tylan Wallace finished with 3 catches for 115 yards and that clutch touchdown. This is on top of Rashod Bateman, who is on pace for a career season and caught a touchdown, and Zay Flowers. Flowers was quiet in this game but has been their leading receiver so far this year and has had multiple massive blowup games in 2024. The sophomore receiver is currently third overall in receiving yards (has been top five for most of the season).
Final Thoughts on Baltimore’s Receiving Game
Lamar Jackson has been firing on all cylinders in 2024, en route to win his third MVP. The fact that he already surpassed his passing touchdown total from 2023 already in Week 10 is an insane thought, as he has been keeping the ball from harm’s way. Jackson’s low turnover rate has also been a necessity with the defense giving up so many points as the worst-ranked passing defense in the NFL this year.
This group with their wide receivers and trio of tight ends with Mark Andrews, Isaiah Likely, and Charlie Kolar make them a better overall unit in previous years when all healthy. Fullback Patrick Ricard and running back Hill have also seen increased usage as pass catchers this year compared to last year. As of now, this passing game under Todd Monken ranked 2nd overall in the NFL for most yards through the air (pending the conclusion of Week 10).
While this seems unsustainable, Jackson is playing phenomenally and it isn’t likely that the production will tail off at any point overall. Even with the addition of Johnson, Tylan Wallace should be given some more looks on offense moving forward after his performance Thursday Night.
