Indianapolis Colts Top 5 First Round Draft Prospects

Prospects

The 2025 NFL Draft is less than a month away. That means teams are honing in on the prospect they want to select. It is a pivotal time for a franchise and prospect alike to get it right. In this article, we will look at who the Indianapolis Colts are closely tied to and who other media outlets have mocked to the Colts. Let’s jump into the list starting at five.

5. Jordan Burch

Burch is an edge rusher from the Oregon Ducks. Burch is a 6-foot-6 295-pound versatile edge rusher. I put him on the list because even though the team drafted Laiatu Latu last year in Round 1 they lost Dayo Odeyingbo in free agency. Burch had great production his senior season at Oregon with  31 tackles and 8.5 sacks. It would be a solid pick if the Colts go this route.

4. Jihaad Campbell

Campbell is a prospect from the University of Alabama. He played linebacker there. In his 2024 campaign, he was very productive with 119 total tackles, 5 sacks, 2 forced fumbles, and 1 interception. If available at 14, this could be a very enticing choice. This draft prospect could help replace the loss of E.J. Speed in free agency.

3. Colston Loveland

Loveland is a 6-foot-5 245-pound tight end from the University of Michigan. This guy can straight-out ball. He is very athletic and has great ball skills. He can separate from man coverage and be a playmaker on all three levels of the defense. He was very productive in his last year of college with 56 receptions, 582 receiving yards, and 5 touchdowns in 2024. Those numbers earned him the single-season record for tight end with those receptions for Michigan. It is easy to see why he comes in at No. 3 on my list.

2. Tyler Booker

Booker is an interior offensive lineman from the University of Alabama. Booker stands at 6-foot-5 and weighs in at 321 pounds. He is the ideal size of a starting guard in the NFL. Booker could be a great prospect for the Colts with the loss of Center Ryan Kelly and Guard Will Fries in free agency.

1. Tyler Warren

The tight end prospect everyone wants would be a great fit with the Colts. He has also been mocked to Indy at times this offseason. This guy would be a great fit in the offense Indy runs. Warren had an extremely productive year at Penn State with 104 receptions, 1,233 yards, and 8 touchdowns in 2024. Warren stands 6-foot-6 and weighs 257 pounds. He is an athletic nightmare for defenses. The question is: Will Warren fall outside the top ten?

Final Thoughts

With that being said I believe at least one of these players will be drafted by the Colts draft weekend. I predict that if the draft gets to pick 10 and Warren is still on the board, the Colts will trade up to get him. Tune in April 24-26 live from Lambeau Field to see who the Indianapolis Colts and your favorite team draft.
