MS Dhoni refused a handshake following the CSK vs. RCB IPL 2024 match, which became a highly discussed topic. Dhoni looked visibly enraged and walked off the field and toward the dressing room. Dhoni’s Heartbreaking Moment After RCB Win
In the last over, the Chennai Super Kings required 11 runs to make their way to the playoffs. Dhoni hammered a sizzling, towering six off Dayal that traveled for exactly 110 meters. But he was fooled by a slower ball in no time and got out. It clearly showed on Dhoni’s face as he sat in the dugout, looking helpless, as if he knew CSK’s loss was imminent.

Dayal was able to hold his nerve and gave just one more run in the next four deliveries to give RCB a 27-run win, while CSK ended up in the fifth position on the points table.
Dhoni then displayed great sportsmanship by getting up, crossing over the boundary line, and trying to shake hands with the winning RCB players. However, Dhoni could not be seen by the home team, as they were overly excited in their jubilation. Dhoni then walked up to the RCB support staff and nodded his head in a show of respect before walking into the CSK dressing rooms.

And when Dhoni started leaving the field, Virat Kohli also tried to look for him, and after a while, he went to the CSK dressing room to meet him. But what many may not know is that Kohli was not the only RCB legend who displayed such sportsmanship. West Indies great Chris Gayle, who is a former RCB member, was present in the Chinnaswamy Stadium to witness the nail-biting finish.
He was also seen taking a photo of Dhoni with his former teammate, Dwayne Bravo. In a touching scene, a video posted by RCB on their official X account showed Gayle wearing an RCB jersey.
RCB completed fourth in the IPL 2024 association stage, setting them to face Rajasthan Royals in the eliminator on Wednesday at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi stadium. This success observed RCB’s unbelievable rebound as well as the soul of sportsmanship that symbols like Gayle, Dhoni, and Kohli address.
