Eric Simons, the bowling coach of the Chennai Super Kings, has confessed that he hardly would make any guess about the missed player, MS Dhoni. He also emphasizes that the future of the veteran in the IPL is not mentioned.
But Simons acknowledged that CSK’s title defense finally ended when it faced a hard-fought 27-run loss to Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) on Saturday. He still noted Dhoni’s ability and critical role in leading CSK during the competitive season.
Dhoni’s Simplicity and Leadership
Eric Simons treated Dhoni like his kind of man before the year and was decorated with his mindset of the game, and he singled out this as the ideal every cricketer should embrace. He cherished Dhoni’s skill of boasting to his team of self-belief and surely that of adjudicating the team through tricky situations.
“Time and time again, memories of MS Dhoni and the shots he plays take us out of trouble. ” I had gone to the dugout and said that it was a great test. When we are put in a tough situation with our backs against the wall and he is batting, you don’t even think of giving up, yaar. Therefore, he gives the team his character of having tremendous faith in himself, Eric Simons said in the interview after the game.

Overdiscounting the surmise about Dhoni’s future, Eric Simons thought it was not necessary and affirmed that Dhoni himself knew what he was going to do.
“Let me point out that anybody who argues about his fate or destiny is definitely insane.
” MS Dhoni has certain ideas of himself at the back of his head. I already knew that this was the year where I clearly saw his run-up from the pre-festival activities. He is in the best form at the moment, so I think he will understand the decision better. He, however, is a wonderful friend you can have, “he concluded.

Eric Simons kept on chalking up more compliments about the guidance coming from Dhoni and the global circumspect he displayed. He is one of the best team players I have been on the field with since I started playing for India and until now while playing for CSK.
