It’s not every day you get a perfect homecoming story in racing, but DGM Racing is making it happen for the 2026 season. The team has officially tapped Mason Maggio to pilot the No. 91 Chevrolet in the newly named NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series (NOAPS). What makes this pairing special isn’t just the machinery. It’s the roots.

Maggio, born and raised in South Florida, is joining forces with the only full-time NASCAR team based in the Sunshine State. He’ll be working alongside fellow Floridian and veteran racer Josh Williams, creating a unique dynamic that brings a lot of local pride to the garage.

A Dream Start at Daytona

For a kid who grew up less than three hours from the “World Center of Racing,” there is no better place to kick off a new chapter than Daytona International Speedway. That’s exactly where Maggio will make his first start for the team next February.

Daytona is where Maggio first fell in love with the sport as a young fan in the grandstands. Now, he returns not as a spectator, but as a key part of DGM’s 2026 lineup, ready to take on the high banks in the season opener.

Maggio didn’t hide his enthusiasm about the deal. “I’m super excited and thankful for the opportunity to be driving for DGM Racing in 2026,” he said. “It is really cool to be able to have the Florida driver work with the Florida team on a regular basis next year.”

He also made sure to credit the village behind him. “A huge thanks to the entire team, my family, partners, and fans for their support and for making this possible. I’m really looking forward to a great season in the inaugural NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series!”

Why DGM Racing Chose Maggio

At just 21 years old, Maggio has already been grinding to make a name for himself. Since his national series debut in 2022, he has racked up nearly 50 starts across the Truck Series and the Xfinity Series, now the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series. But it was likely one specific afternoon last fall that sealed the deal.

Maggio made his lone start with DGM Racing at Talladega Superspeedway, and he didn’t waste the opportunity. He qualified 19th, a career-best starting spot for him, and showed the kind of raw speed and poise that team owners look for. Mario Gosselin, the owner of DGM Racing, has built a reputation for spotting young talent and helping them take that next step. He sees that potential in Maggio.

“We’re excited to welcome another driver from The Sunshine State to our racing family,” Gosselin said. “Mason is a young, eager driver who isn’t afraid to put in the work to grow on and off track. His demeanor and professionalism at such a young age are refreshing, and I am impressed with his work ethic and willingness to learn.”

Looking Ahead to the 2026 Season

This move solidifies DGM Racing’s commitment to developing drivers while leaning into its Florida heritage. Pairing a young, hungry driver like Maggio with an experienced teammate like Josh Williams creates a solid foundation for the No. 91 team as they head into the inaugural NOAPS season.

Fans won’t have to wait long to see this combination in action. The season kicks off with the United Rentals 300 at Daytona on Saturday, February 14, 2026. If you are planning to tune in, coverage starts at 5:00 p.m. ET on The CW, with practice and qualifying available on The CW App.

Final Thoughts

The team promised that more details regarding specific partners and Maggio’s full race schedule will be dropping in the next few weeks. For now, the focus is on preparation and the excitement of a Florida kid getting his shot with a Florida team on the biggest stage in stock car racing.
