Quentin Grimes In Tremendous Company With March Performance

Grimes

Philadelphia 76ers Shooting Guard Quentin Grimes has been spectacular in March. He finds himself on a list that includes Milwaukee Bucks Forward Giannis Antetokounmpo and Oklahoma City Guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. Those two superstars, along with Grimes, are the only players to score 325+ points in March.

Grimes is averaging 28.0 points this month and has scored 40+ points twice in March. He is having a strong regular season. The Philadelphia 76ers have been injury-ravaged this year and the guard is taking full advantage of it. He is averaging 13.8 points per game, 4.2 rebounds, and 2.8 assists this season. Will he be able to finish March on a high note?

Quentin Grimes Career Summary

Grimes was drafted No. 21 overall by the Los Angeles Clippers in the 2021 NBA Draft. He never played for the team as he played parts of his first three seasons with the New York Knicks. He closed out the 2023-24 season with the Pistons. He then signed with the Dallas Mavericks last offseason.

Dallas traded the young player to the Philadelphia 76ers for Forward Caleb Martin. Martin has only played five games for the injury-riddled Mavericks while Grimes is averaging a whopping 22.2 points with the team. This ill-fated trade is another reason why Dallas Mavericks General Manager Nico Harrison has had one of the worst years for an executive in recent memory. The Sixers guard is a career 10 point per game scorer.

Final Thoughts

Grimes will not suit up for tonight’s contest against the New Orleans Pelicans as the Sixers will rest him. The young guard has three more games in March as he looks to cap off the best month of his career. Philadelphia will welcome the Wizards, Heat, and Raptors to town to end the month. Even though the 76ers will miss the NBA Play-In Tournament, the guard will look to continue playing at such a high level.
