The Philadelphia Eagles and Linebacker Azeez Ojulari agreed to a one-year $4 million contract Monday evening. He is coming off a good season in limited time with the New York Giants. Ojulari had 28 tackles and 6 sacks over 11 games.
The issue for the young player has been his health. Ojulari played in 17 games during his rookie season but has played in 29 of a possible 51 regular season games since. Ojulari has 107 career tackles, 22 sacks, and 4 forced fumbles. Will he be able to play a full season and contribute to the Philadelphia Eagles in 2025?
Philadelphia Eagles Offseason Summary
Philadelphia’s defense, which helped them dominate the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX, will look much different in 2025. They lost Linebacker Josh Sweat, Defensive Lineman Milton Williams, Cornerback Darius Slay, and Safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson to name a few players.
The Eagles have done an admirable job trying to replace those critical losses. Ojulari is the latest example of that. Philadelphia also re-signed Linebacker Zack Baun and signed Linebacker Joshua Uche and Cornerback Adoree’ Jackson. Both Jackson and Ojulari are former members of the New York Giants.
Final Thoughts
Ojulari will look to get on track with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2025. He has struggled to remain healthy and will look to succeed with the Super Bowl champion Eagles. Ojulari has loads of talent but has been unable to unlock it through four career seasons.
