It has been a wildly disappointing season for a 76ers team that entered the season with championship aspirations. The issue for the team has been health. Center Joel Embiid has been limited to 19 games. Small Forward Paul George, a marquee offseason signing, has played in 41 games. Promising rookie Guard Jared McCain played in 23 games this year before undergoing season-ending knee surgery.
The injury woes have sent the Philadelphia 76ers tumbling down the Eastern Conference standings. They are the No. 12 seed and six games out of the NBA Play-In Tournament. Philadelphia’s offense has been one of the league’s worst. They are 25th in points scored, 22nd in field goal percentage, and 24th in three-point percentage.
