As one of the best players of his generation, how will his career be remembered?

Patrick Peterson’s Career Stats

Peterson spent 10 of his 13 career seasons with the Arizona Cardinals. He also spent two seasons with the Minnesota Vikings before fishing up his illustrious career with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was released by the team in March of 2024. He was reportedly open to a return to the NFL but did not play in the league last year.

Peterson was one of the best cornerbacks of the last 15 years. He finished with 8 Pro Bowl selections and was a three-time All-Pro. He made the Pro Bowl the first eight seasons of his career. Peterson was also named part of the 2010 All-Decade Team. He finished his NFL career with 652 tackles, 36 interceptions, and 2 forced fumbles.

Final Thoughts

Peterson’s tremendous NFL career should lead to induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2030. According to Pro Football Reference, his career compares favorably to those of other Hall of Fame defensive backs. Even though the end of his career did not go well, the first eight seasons of his NFL career should be enough to get a call from Canton, Ohio.
