The Ohio State Buckeyes ended their 2023 season with an 11-2 record. Those losses came by the Michigan Wolverines and the Missouri Tigers. Ryan Day is still the head man for the Ohio State Buckeyes football program. In recent months there have been reports of four minor recruiting violations. On Tuesday, it was said that the University self-reported those violations to the NCAA!
Here is a breakdown of those four minor violations that have taken place over the last few months, once the Buckeye’s season ended.

The first minor violation involved a coach contacting a high school athlete. The athlete talked about entering the transfer portal, so an Ohio State Buckeyes coach sent an edit to the former high school player to try to get him to come to Columbus. All contact and communication were stopped shortly after. This infraction was reported before the 2023 football season in August.
The second violation took place with former Ohio State offensive coordinator Brian Hartline. He sent an edit to a high school player during a recruiting event last summer. The coaching staff was no longer allowed to recruit for two days after the news came out.
Ohio State Buckeyes Third and Fourth Violation
The third violation dealt with a photograph taken by a recruit with two boosters that are unknown. That took place in September during the first football game for the Ohio State Buckeyes. Another two days of recruiting was taken away from the coaching staff along with a sideline pass.
The final infraction happened with another Buckeyes staff member. He commented on a social media post about a future player’s commitment to the Buckeyes football team. The post was later removed by the staff member.
Ohio State Buckeyes Coaching Changes
Former NFL head coach Bill O’Brien is now the head coach at Boston College. In place of him comes Chip Kelly, who was the former headman for the UCLA Bruins. Within the last couple of months, Ryan Day has brought on Kelly to be the new offensive coordinator. Chip Kelly has been known for his bright offensive mind and playcalling.
With the standard of going undefeated and accomplishing goals of championships, the Ohio State Buckeyes head coach decided to make a coaching change after losing two games a season ago. The team-up north has had the Buckeye’s number for the last three seasons at the end of November. Now Ryan Day is looking to flip that narrative back to Columbus in 2024!
