Edmonton Oilers Zach Hyman Out For Rest Of Playoffs
The Edmonton Oilers are leading the Dallas Stars in the Western Conference Finals 3-1. Unfortunately, they are without Forward Zach Hyman. The Oilers will be without Hyman for the rest of the playoffs due to a shoulder injury that required surgery. Hyman sustained the injury in Game 4 in the first period when he was hit by Dallas Stars forward Mason Marchment. It is extremely unfortunate and disappointing for the Oilers.
Edmonton Oilers Are Without Zach Hyman
Hyman underwent surgery for the injury Wednesday and will not play when Edmonton tries to close out Dallas in Game 5 at American Airlines on Thursday with the Oilers holding a 3-1 lead in the best-of-7 series.
Oilers Captain Connor McDavid said, “Obviously it’s extremely disappointing to lose [Hyman], devastated for him, He wants to be out there, wants to make a difference and so we’ll miss him a lot.”
Zach Hyman had 11 points (5 goals, 6 assists) in 15 games for the Oilers this postseason. He has made a real impact for the Oilers these playoffs and his physical presence and powerplay ability. He will be missed as the Oilers try to return to the Stanley Cup Finals again this season.
The Oilers Look To Next Man Up
The Edmonton Oilers will look to the next man up and dive into the club of adversity without their star Forward Zach Hyman. The Edmonton Oilers will look to close out the series in Dallas and have a rematch against the Florida Panthers in the Stanley Cup Finals.
