Where Will the Next Super Bowls Be Played?
If you’re anything like me, you measure your life not in years, but in NFL seasons. We just wrapped up the conference championships, and the stage is finally set for Super Bowl LX. But for the die-hards, the ones who book hotels three years in advance and have strong opinions about stadium roof retraction speeds, it is never too early to look ahead.
The NFL has mapped out the next few years of gridiron glory, taking us from the tech capital of the world back to the glitz of Hollywood, and then down to the heart of the South. We’ve got dates, we’ve got venues, and for 2026, we officially have a matchup that’s dripping with nostalgia. Here is everything you need to know about where the football world will descend for the next three years.
Super Bowl 2026: A Rematch By the Bay
Date: Feb. 8, 2026
Venue: Levi’s Stadium (Santa Clara, CA)
Matchup: New England Patriots vs. Seattle Seahawks
We are heading back to the Bay Area, and the football gods have gifted us a script that writes itself. The New England Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks have punched their tickets to Santa Clara, setting up a rematch of one of the most chaotic, heart-stopping endings in sports history.
Malcolm Butler at the goal line. The interception that broke Seattle’s heart in Arizona over a decade ago. Now, these two franchises collide again, but the faces have changed. It’s no longer Brady vs. Wilson; it’s a new era, with Drake Maye looking to etch his name into Patriots lore against a Seattle defense that has looked absolutely suffocating down the stretch.
Levi’s Stadium hosts its second big game. The first was Super Bowl 50, where we watched Peyton Manning ride off into the sunset. While Santa Clara isn’t exactly downtown San Francisco, the venue is a tech marvel. The weather should be pristine, the chowder will be hot, and the tension will be thick enough to cut with a knife. Can Seattle exorcise the ghosts of the past? Or will New England add another trophy to their overflowing case?
Super Bowl 2027: Valentine’s Day In Hollywood
Date: Feb. 14, 2027
Venue: SoFi Stadium (Inglewood, CA)
Super Bowl LXI falls on Valentine’s Day. You have exactly one year to figure out how to convince your significant other that watching 300-pound linemen collide is the ultimate expression of romance.
The NFL is taking the show back to Tinseltown. SoFi Stadium, the crown jewel of the league’s stadium construction boom, gets its second nod. The Rams won a ring in their own house last time around, defeating the Bengals in a thriller.
Hosting in Los Angeles brings a different kind of energy. It’s less about the tailgate brats and beers and more about the halftime show and celebrity sightings. Expect $20 hot dogs, perfect weather, and a halftime performance that will likely break the internet.
Super Bowl 2028: Southern Hospitality Returns
Date: Feb. 13, 2028
Venue: Mercedes-Benz Stadium (Atlanta, GA)
In 2028, the circus heads south to the house that Arthur Blank built. Super Bowl LXII will take over Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.
This is a stadium that feels like it was designed by someone playing a video game in the year 2050. The aperture-style roof is iconic, the food prices are actually reasonable, and the atmosphere is electric. Atlanta last hosted in 2019, a defensive slugfest where the Patriots held the Rams to a measly three points.
Atlanta is a fantastic host city. Everything is walkable around Olympic Centennial Park, the fanfare is top-tier, and the Chick-fil-A is plentiful. By 2028, the landscape of the NFL could look vastly different. We might be talking about a three-peat for a team currently rebuilding, or a veteran QB making one last desperate push for a ring.
Beyond 2028: Betting On Vegas?
The NFL hasn’t officially stamped the paperwork for 2029, but if you’re a betting man, all eyes are on Las Vegas. Allegiant Stadium hosted its first Super Bowl in 2024 (Chiefs over 49ers in overtime), and by all accounts, it was a massive success. The Strip was made for events of this magnitude. Rumors are swirling that Vegas is the heavy favorite to lock down Super Bowl LXIII, though Nashville has thrown its cowboy hat into the ring as a potential suitor.
