The New England Patriots have gotten one of the top wide receivers in the NFL out of Stefon Diggs this season. He has been everything you would want on the field with his leadership and production in Foxborough. However, things are a little shaky right now after a recent report of an alleged incident that took place. Let’s take a closer look at the situation to figure out all the details.
New England Patriots Issue Statement Regarding Stefon Diggs

The Patriots would issue a statement on Tuesday afternoon discussing that they have become aware of the alleged incident.
“The New England Patriots are aware of the accusations that have been made regarding Stefon Diggs. Stefon has informed the organization that he categorically denies the allegations. We support Stefon. We will continue to gather information and will cooperate fully with the appropriate authorities and the NFL as necessary. Out of respect for all parties involved, and given that this is an ongoing legal matter, we will have no further comment at this time.”
Boston 25 News was the first to report that there was an incident that took place. Diggs was charged with felony strangulation and misdemeanor assault and battery charges, stemming from a Dec. 2 incident.
Diggs was traded to the New England Patriots this offseason and has been one of the top bounce-back players in the sport. Coming off a torn ACL, he has completed 82 receptions on 99 targets for 970 yards (11.8 yards per catch) and four receiving touchdowns. It appears that he will be able to play in the team’s Week 18 contest against the Miami Dolphins if coach Mike Vrabel decides to play his starters.
It will be interesting to follow this story and see what comes out of it.
