The Main Prospect The Pittsburgh Steelers Must Select In 2026 NFL Draft (April Fools Edition)

Another year, another Steelers elimination from the wildcard round of the playoffs. They are in a weird spot with Tomlin’s departure, and they need to improve the team. Or still have the delusion of being a contender and bolstering. Sort of like the delusion these analysts and mock drafters have with this class. Some of these picks are bizarre and not even on our draft board. Let’s get into our main prospect to pick as the Pittsburgh Steelers are on the clock.

The Biggest Team Need For The Pittsburgh Steelers

This franchise believes that we can still compete. We’re not blowing up the team, even if we have washed-up Pro Bowlers on this team and the NFL’s version of Doc Rivers coaching again. Seriously, they went too lazy to reunite Mike McCarthy with Aaron Rodgers? Like that’s gonna work out so well, as Rodgers is a shell of his former self. However, this franchise is delusional, and the owner thinks they can still win with this squad.

One thing is for sure: the “Steelers Way” is not going to go away any time soon, and we will remain loyal to our alumni and coaches. We won’t fire any coach; they may retire or have their contracts expire. As for this prospect its perfect because being a Pittsburgh Steeler is in his blood.

With The 21st Pick In The 2026 NFL Draft, The Steelers Select – WR Jerome Bettis Jr (Notre Dame)

Jerome Bettis is one of the most legendary running backs that this franchise has ever had, and was a piece of that Super Bowl XL squad. Well, we are going to take a risk on his gene pool by selecting his son, Jerome Bettis Jr., with this selection.

The Bus has a new driver, and Jerome Bettis Jr has all the tools to succeed in the National Football League. He is 6’1”, has great hands, has speed, and runs crisp routes. He may have only had 1 catch last year, but that catch is all we need to see to know he’s ready. That 6-yard gain made us drop our jaws, and Aaron Rodgers needs as many receivers to throw to. After all, he’s not washed its just a depth issue.

If It Worked Once Before, Lets Do It Twice And Make It A Tradition

Look, many question why the Steelers are doing this, but do people forget this worked with us drafting Joey Porter kid. His son is one of our key pieces to the secondary, and at this rate, he is going to get that gigantic 2nd deal with the team. If it worked once with him, why can’t it work with Jerome Bettis? We need depth at wide receiver and more Steelers blood.

Its the “Steelers Way” to be loyal to our alumni, and there is nothing wrong with it. In fact were making it a tradition that if any former Steelers kid was available in the draft, we would take him with our highest draft pick. If there are two in one draft, we will trade next year’s picks to get him. Well, unless it’s Antonio Brown’s kids, because let’s be real, we don’t want that trainwreck anywhere near our facilities after all the scandals he’s gotten in.

The Steelers Will Go To The Super Bowl With This Pick

No matter what, every year the goal is to get to the Super Bowl. With the addition of Jerome Bettis jr, it makes us a lock to represent the AFC in the Super Bowl. Okay, that alone is just hilarious, delusional, and a full-blown practical joke like this draft pick is. Happy April Fools, everybody. Watch, the Steelers are gonna sign him on their practice squad in a few years, he will be a depth piece on the team.
