San Francisco 49ers Rank in NFL’s Top 32 List
Pickwise analyzed the performance of each NFL team across Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), Instagram, and TikTok to create an index rating for all teams in the league, revealing the teams that are dominating the social media space.
According to Pickwise’s research, the San Francisco 49ers are the sixth-best performing team in the NFL, with an index score of 36.18 out of 100. The 49ers’ index score is mostly attributed to having some of the highest numbers of Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), Instagram, and TikTok users in the league.
The Dallas Cowboys were ranked as the best team in the NFL, with an index score of 80.60 out of 100. The Cowboys are the most popular team in the United States and the world, thanks to the team owner, president, and general manager, Jerry Jones’ marketing and the team’s shows, America’s Sweethearts (2024-present) and Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders: Making the Team (2006-2021).
San Francisco 49ers’ Outlook
The team’s outlook appears to be a mixed bag after initially appearing positive ahead of the 2025 NFL season. The 49ers increased in offensive strength while witnessing a defensive weakness. The team’s injury list is a major concern, with Quarterback Brock Purdy and Tight End George Kittle being sidelined. However, Purdy, 25, “has a chance” to play in Week 3 against the Arizona Cardinals at Levi’s Stadium on Sunday at 1:25 p.m. Pacific. The Iowa State alum suffered left shoulder and toe injuries during the team’s season opener against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 1 on September 7.
Final Thoughts
San Fran’s ranking as the sixth-best performing team in the NFL. Though the 49ers aren’t at the top, their social media presence remains strong, especially on Facebook, X, and Instagram. The team actively engages with fans through comments, user-generated content, and fan engagement opportunities.
