The Main Prospect The Las Vegas Raiders Must Select In 2026 NFL Draft (April Fools Edition)
It is April 1st, 2026, and its the most wonderful time of the year. The 2026 NFL Draft is just around the corner, and many fans are excited to see which prospect gets taken. This is the right time to start looking at the main prospect each team should take.
There are a ton of rumors and speculation about who it could be, but it’s bizarre to see many mock drafters and analysts missing the big picture and many available prospects. Let’s get into the Main selection with the Oakland Raiders now on the clock
The Number 1 Team Need For The Raiders, Obviously Quarterback
The Las Vegas Raiders have a ton of needs all over the place, but they have to figure out the quarterback position. You can’t win in the NFL without a quarterback. It’s physically impossible, and trust us, ever since we let go of Derek Carr, we have never been able to find a better one and have had dire QB situations forever.
Along with the Raiders making the unsurprising choice to trade Geno Smith, we needed a new face of the franchise. We can’t enter the season with Aidan O’Connell as our starting quarterback. He hasn’t been a good fit; the starts he had with us weren’t strong, and we need an upgrade. Hold up, why is he the only quarterback on this roster? Oh, right, the Ravens screwed us on the Maxx Crosby trade, and we don’t want to risk going over the salary cap.
No ifs, ands, or buts here: the pick is going to be a QB, and the question now is who the Raiders will take at this spot. Well, we got the answer.
With The 1st Pick In The 2026 NFL Draft, The Raiders Select QB Alberto Mendoza (Georgia Tech)

The moment the Las Vegas Raiders secured the 1at overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft every analyst and fan immediately projected Mendoza to be drafted in this spot. We’re considering taking Mendoza with this selection. Alberto Mendoza in the draft room is the consensus #1 prospect in this draft.
Mendoza impressed during his time at Indiana. In the 9 games he played last year, he threw for 286 yards, 5 touchdowns, 1 interception, and even had a rushing touchdown. Mendoza was dominant in Indiana and was all over the papers in Indiana. Kid was a rockstar, and Mendoza was a big reason for Indiana winning the College Football Playoff National Championship.
Heck, a Mendoza even won the Heisman trophy, and that wouldn’t have happened without the dedication and talent from Alberto. Knowing our history of drafting Heisman winners, Alberto Mendoza is going to be a lock for the Hall of Fame in Canton.
While there are rumors that Mendoza was going to play at Georgia Tech for this season, he decided to change his mind. He only made the switch to Georgia Tech to secure an NIL deal and to gain more knowledge in playbooks so he can transition to the NFL.
We Have No Regrets In Drafting A Mendoza
No regrets here, Raiders fans want Mendoza, they will get Mendoza. Alberto is the real talented QB here, a leader of men, and will provide a spark to this team and franchise we have not had in years. Along with Tom Brady in the executive board, there is no chance of failure here, and it will get us to stage 2 of our rebuild.
This is the most realistic choice and is guaranteed to be 100% accurate on draft day. Oh, who am I kidding? Happy April Fools, everybody.
