Philadelphia Eagles 2025 Record Prediction: Are the Chances For a Super Bowl Repeat High?
The 2025 NFL Schedule Release has officially come out on Wednesday, and the Philadelphia Eagles enter the season as the defending Super Bowl champions. They will raise their new banner on September 4 against the Dallas Cowboys to start Week 1.
This Eagles team has a shot at creating an opportunity to repeat as champions, as 10 of the 11 starters on offense return, along with most of the defensive studs. They also have intriguing young pieces on that side of the ball. The 2025 schedule has the Eagles not having two straight home games. So here is my prediction for the Eagles’ Schedule, starting with the Eagles’ reveal video below.Â
Week 1: vs Cowboys
The Eagles vs Cowboys opener this season will not be one of those games that won’t be watched this season. All of the eyeballs will be glued into Philadelphia as Dak Prescott and the rest of the Cowboys are forced to watch the Eagles hang a banner in their stadium that evening. Philadelphia blew out Dallas in both meetings last year without Prescott. I think Prescott makes Dallas a better team, but not enough to ruin the party.Â
Record: 1-0
Week 2: @ Chiefs
The Super Bowl rematch has come a little bit earlier than expected in the second week of the season, and this should be a fireworks-type game once again. I think Arrowhead is going to be LOUD and will be a potential difference maker. So far, Hurts is 2-2 against Mahomes in his career, 1-1 in the Super Bowl. Hurts is ready for Arrowhead again as he won there in 2023. This is a toss-up game for me, but I think the Eagles pull out a close win again, like in 2023. But it could be a loss.Â
Record 2-0, or 1-1
Week 3: vs Rams
This is another tough game to call on the slate because the Rams have gotten better this offseason with the addition of Davante Adams to be the WR2 alongside Puka Nacua. In a rematch of the divisional round game that came down to the wire, I think this game again comes down to the wire with the same result. An Eagles win.Â
Record: 3-0, or 2-1
Week 4: @ Buccaneers
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have had Philadelphia’s number over the last handful of years, with two Wild Card losses and a blowout loss last year without the services of AJ Brown, DeVonta Smith, or Lane Johnson. That being said, this could be a loss again, but I will have this as a win on the books. But will put a caveat to it.Â
Record: 4-0, 3-1 with the loss to the Chiefs, or 2-2 with losses to the Bucs and the Chiefs
Week 5: vs BroncosÂ
I do not need to go into this game much, as the Broncos are a good young team, but not ready for the Eagles yet. Give me Philadelphia by double digits in this game at home for the reigning champions.Â
Record: 5-0, 4-1, 3-2
Week 6: @ Giants
The defensive front of the Giants is probably one of the best units in the NFL, and this will be a slugfest because of the division rivalry. I think the Eagles will win another close game in New York this season.Â
Record: 6-0, 5-1, 4-2
Week 7: @ Vikings
The Eagles will travel to Minnesota to face J.J. McCarthy and the Vikings. Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison will be tough covers for Kelee Ringo, and the Vikings defense is no slouch, but Hurts and Barkley on the ground will be the difference in this game.Â
Record: 7-0, 6-1, 5-2
Week 8: vs. Giants
The Eagles vs the Giants will play their second game in three weeks. The Eagles will also have this predicament against the Commanders later in the season, which we will get to. But this one is another win for Philly heading into their bye.
Record: 8-0, 7-1, 6-2
Week 9: BYE
This is a great bye week for Philadelphia heading into a tough back half of the schedule, starting off with two NFC North teams.Â
Week 10: @ Packers
This game will be full of motivation for both teams as Green Bay looks for revenge against the Eagles for bouncing them in the Wild Card, and the Eagles might have revenge for the “Tush Push” ban. The Eagles are still the better team, and in a hostile environment. Hurts will get another win here on “Monday Night Football.”
Record: 9-0, 8-1, 7-2
Week 11: vs. Lions
In another highly anticipated game, the Lions will bring one of those gritty styles of play that could provide some problems for the Eagles. It is a similar style of play that the Eagles want to play against their opponents. This is a great game to circle on the calendar. I could see both teams winning.Â
Record: 10-0, 9-1, 8-2, 7-3 with a loss to Lions added
Week 12: @ Cowboys
With Dak at quarterback, the potential of the split is high for the Philadelphia vs Dallas matchup as always. And looking at Dallas’ schedule, with this game and the Chiefs on Thanksgiving the next week, is a tough slate for them. I think the Eagles will squeak by in this game against Dallas.Â
Record: 11-0, 10-1, 9-2, 8-3
Week 13: vs. Bears
“Black Friday” will be a fun matchup with the Bears visiting Philadelphia. Ben Johnson and Caleb Williams will be a fun duo to watch this season, but I think they are a year away personally. So book an Eagles win here.
Record: 12-0, 11-1, 10-2, 9-3
Week 14: @ ChargersÂ
We finally get to answer the Herbert and Hurts debate that people want to have on the internet at this moment: Who is better? Hurts will show that he is the better quarterback by far, and the Eagles will pull away late in this game for the win.Â
Record: 13-0, 12-1, 11-2, 10-3
Week 15: vs. Raiders
In a battle between a rookie running back and the best running back in football, Ashton Jeanty is great, but Barkley will show the Raiders defense why he was the NFL Offensive Player of the Year in 2024. The Eagles win this game easily.Â
Record: 14-0, 13-1, 12-2, 11-3
Week 16: @ Commanders
This game in DC will be played on a Saturday, and it will be the first one between the two teams of the year, and a Washington win. It will be a tough turnaround for the Eagles to travel for a short week late in the year. So give Jayden Daniels and the Commanders the win in this game.Â
Record: 14-1, 13-2, 12-3, 11-4
Week 17: @ BillsÂ
The Bills will be a tough game regardless of the Week 16 result. I’m going to give this game to Buffalo as well. I could see the Eagles winning this game, but in Buffalo in December will be a tough win to get regardless because of the weather with the winds. Josh Allen will have a better day.Â
Record: 14-2, 13-3, 12-4, 11-5
Week 18 vs. Commanders
It’s funny that the NFC Championship rematch in Philly is going to be potentially meaningless in general for both teams. I could see the Commanders needing this win to get into the playoffs as a wild-card team. I could also see both teams not needing it. I think Philly wins this game because they need it for the No. 1 seed, and I have these two teams splitting the games.Â
Record: 15-2, 14-3, 13-4, 12-5
Final Thoughts
The Philadelphia Eagles have the talent to have another successful season and shouldn’t have anything less than 12 wins this upcoming season. I officially pick the Eagles to go 13-4 this season because of the Commanders and Bills road games at the end of the year. The Eagles are poised for another deep playoff run.
