The Main Prospects The New York Jets Must Select In 2026 NFL Draft (April Fools Edition)
If there is one day that perfectly describes the New York Jets during draft day, it is April Fools. After all, Woody Johnson is the worst sports owner in all of North America, so it’s not a surprise. The 2026 NFL Draft is just around the corner, and many fans are excited to see which prospect gets taken by the Jets.
There are a ton of rumors and speculation about who it could be, but it’s bizarre to see many mock drafters and analysts missing the big picture and many available prospects. Let’s get into the Main selection with the New York Jets now on the clock
Team Needs For The Jets, Well Everything
Gosh, this team was so bad last year that a CFL team would have beaten them. Heck, maybe an Arena football team could have beaten them. There are so many different positions that have to improve, including on defense, offense, special teams (Especially since they didn’t bring back Nick Folk), ownership, and even coaching. So this team could use any of there pick on any position, and it would make sense.
With The 2nd Pick In The 2026 NFL Draft, The Jets Select – DE/EDGE IK Enemkpali (Louisiana Tech)

The one thing about Aaron Glenn is that he knows defense. Heck, the man even called it his superpower. Obviously, Woody Johnson read a comic book and has chosen to give full power to him to make this pick, and it must be on the defense. While David Bailey and Ruebin Bain are the projected top pick, not to us. We care so little that Aaron Glenn slept while both were doing their drills at the combine.
Glenn is going to need someone who knows how to sucker punch a player when they act out. A real culture changer, and since were going back to Geno Smith, we got the perfect equalizer to going back in time to fix the team. That’s right, we are taking IK Enemkpali with the 2nd overall pick. Yes, he has the knee injuries and the locker room issues, but his punch is legendary. With the big need at pass rush, he is too good to pass on.
With The 16th Pick In The 2026 NFL Draft, The Jets Select – RB Le’Veon Moss (Iowa St)

Wait, the New York Jets have another 1st overall pick. Man, Woody Johnson must have forgotten to tell us, and is Aaron Glenn napping right now, too? Quickly fire up the Madden Games. After a few simulations from an early edition copy of College Football, the pick to go here at this spot is Le’Veon Moss. Yes, we in the draft room thought it was a Madden-generated name, but it turns out there is a prospect in this draft named him.
We may have him as a Day 3 prospect, but the ownership group told us to listen to Madden draft grades as they’re better than Mel Kiper. We must bring more technology to the process. Madden says he is a mid-1st round pick and, for some reason, has a Hidden Gem symbol next to him. Eh, why not Breece Hall is franchise tagged, and we could use a running back to build the team around Geno Smith.
This Is A Key Moment For The New York Jets Rebuild
This is the next step in the 50th rebuild for this franchise. The best way to fix it is to bring bad old, more known players and another running back. After all, every team has to start at running back before getting the franchise QB. If the Buffalo Sabres can finally get out of the playoff drought, so can we.
This is the most realistic choice and is guaranteed to be 100% accurate on draft day. Oh, who am I kidding? Happy April Fools, everybody. As always, when ending a Jets piece, let’s conclude this in the best way possible. Sell The Team Woody.
