New York Jets Elevate Inconsistent Kicker From Practice Squad

In a desperate plea to save their season, the New York Jets have elevated Kicker Anders Carlson to the active roster. During the season, the Jets have many issues including inconsistent kickers. With their main kicker potentially out for the majority of the season, the team elevated another inconsistent kicker. While the Jets’ issues are well documented, having a kicker who had a weak season was a big issue. Even with the season’s loss to fans, the team believes they have a chance with the offense led by Aaron Rodgers. The Jets have been weak offensively but will have a younger kicker. There is also a chance that they could start a winning streak with the Colts. New York having a younger kicker could benefit them long-term if Carlson pans out. Along with the hope that Carlson pans out, he could be their kicker of the future beyond 2024.

With Zuerlein having a weak season, the Jets could depend on Carlson for the rest of the season. The Jets could also hope that Carlson could have the improvements that his brother made as a Raider. With the hopes that Carlson pans out, the New York Jets could have a solid kicker again.
