New York Giants Officially Agree to Sign John Harbaugh to 5-Year Deal
The New York Giants have been looking to make a massive splash this offseason and have officially done just that.
John Harbaugh Officially Becomes Next New York Giants Coach

After a few days of negotiating between the team and the coach, John Harbaugh has officially been named the next head coach of the New York Giants. Harbaugh sent a quote to ESPN about his excitement to officially be part of the Giants:
“This is the New York Giants. I’m proud and honored to be the head coach of this historical franchise, and especially excited to work with the Mara and Tisch families. Most of all, I can’t wait to get started with the great players on this football team to see what we can accomplish together.”
It will be intriguing to see how he does as the Giants have not had much success in the previous decade in getting a quality coach. Since moving on from Tom Coughlin after the 20-15 season, below is the list of coaches:
- Ben McAdoo (2016-17)
- Pat Shurmur (2018-19)
- Joe Judge (2020-21)
- Brian Daboll (2022-25)
It was also later reported that Harbaugh is going to be reporting directly to owner John Mara and not to general manager Joe Schoen. It is going to be interesting to see which coaches will be part of his incoming staff and how it shapes up before he makes his Giants debut in September.
