The Indianapolis Colts had such a tremendous collapse last season. They looked like a lock for the NFL playoffs, but then bad luck hit. The Daniel Jones injury happened, and the Ahmad “Sauce” Gardner trade backfired. In the month of April, it’s a new year, and the Colts have retooled the team, so a collapse doesn’t happen. Now lets get into the main prospect they must draft as the Baltimore Colts are now on the clock.
Lets Focus On Our 1st Round Pick
Well, despite injuries killing the Colts last year, at least they have their first-round pick to bolster the team. Oh Wait, I forgot. There 1st round pick is New York Jets property due to the Ahmad “Sauce” Gardner trade. Remind me why Chris Ballard is still the GM again? Seriously, I’ve been asking this for 5 years now. He has only had 1 playoff win as the Colts GM, and he’s been here since 2017. He paid how much for Daniel Jones???
The Biggest Team Need For The Indianapolis Colts
Oh boy, the Colts are such a fraudulent team. I would say delusional, but that goes to the Pittsburgh Steelers and New England Patriots. Honestly, Indianapolis really could use another quarterback. Do you really trust Daniel Jones to even stay healthy? I don’t, and they’ve got no backup. Anthony Richardson stinks and has demanded a trade. Riley Leonard is a scrub NFL quarterback.
Their QB room was in such rough shape that they had to bring Philip Rivers to play a few games. Rivers had not played in 5 years. That is just sad and is another example of the Colts’ fall from grace last season. Well, we got the QB that will help the Colts in the long term. It stinks the Colts don’t have a first, but we can work well with our 2nd round draft pick.
With The 47th Pick In The 2026 NFL Draft, The Colts Select – QB Gunner Rivers (NC State)
Now it makes sense why the Colts lured Philip Rivers to play in the NFL again. It wasn’t because Rivers had something to prove, or the conspiracy theory to extend his medical insurance for another 5 years. Heck, even playing to ensure he goes in as a first ballot Hall of Famer in 2029. No, it was done to start the process to get his son, Gunner, into the NFL.
Gunner Rivers is currently 17 years old and is already looking to join NC State as their QB. However, Philip put in a good word with the NFL and Indianapolis. They have given the okay to make Gunner the youngest prospect in NFL history. Getting the Rivers gene is all that we need to know that he will be a superstar. He’s going to need time, but we learned our lesson from the Richardson pick years ago.

The Colts need to make the playoffs this year because jobs are on the line here. Chris Ballard and Shane Steichen are in the hottest part of the seat job-wise. They need to lock up this QB position, and while they overpaid for Jones, getting Rivers back is a tremendous Plan B if things go wrong. But hey, at least if things go wrong, they’ve got the 2027 pick in a deep draft. Oh yeah, that pick is also New York Jets property due to the Ahmad “Sauce” Gardner trade.
Gunner Rivers is the man, and he is the prospect no team should pass on. Unfortunately, he only wants to play for the Colts after how they treated his dad. That’s why Philip Rivers will be the one making the pick in the 2nd round. Its a lock and the most realistic pick for the Colts to make. Unfortunately, this is in a dream because it’s a joke.
