The Main Prospect The Chicago Bears Must Select In 2026 NFL Draft (April Fools Edition)
The Chicago Bears are a classic example of why drafting and coaching matters in the NFL. This is the most hyped Bears fans have had since the Jay Cutler years. Can lightning strike twice here? We believe so. Although the NFL got to ban these mock drafters and analysts because some of these prospects are not even on our boards for round 1. There is one guy who makes sense here. Let’s get into it as the Chicago Bears are now on the clock.
The Biggest Team Need For The Chicago Bears
The Bears could use some solid depth pieces, but let’s be real, there is still an unknown regarding the quarterback position. Caleb Williams looked okay, but he has been very inconsistent through his time in Chicago. Tyson Badget may be one of the top backups in the league, but the Bears are getting some intriguing trade offers for Badget. Were going to need a quarterback here and a player that knows how to play like a bear.
With The 25th Pick In The 2026 NFL Draft, The Bears Select – QB Sawyer Robertson (Baylor)

That’s right were going to take a member of the Baylor Bears in Sawyer Robertson. This is a QB who helped Baylor last season and put up a respectable stat line in his final year there. He threw for 3,681 passing yards, 60.3% completion percentage, 31 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions. He even had 3 rushing touchdowns as well, all in 12 games.
Now that is impressive, and this guy knows what it’s like to play as a Bear. That skill can easily transition in the NFL, but only if you play under the Bears name. Robertson is a leader in that locker room and is very athletic when moving around in the pocket. There are so many flashes, and his tape looks amazing. He was a standout at the Senior Bowl as well, and the Bears organization’s jaws dropped.
Now his accuracy could be better, and he doesn’t have that rocket arm, but he is very strategic with how he plays. The kid is also tough, and we could use that at the QB position. The question to be asked here is, can he fit in Ben Johnson’s system? The answer is absolutely, and it’s a nice team fit draft choice.
So With 3 Quarterbacks How Will They Be Used?
Well, for Sawyer Robertson, the Bears will take their time to develop him. Pull a Packer Jordan Love here, as patience will be a virtue with him. Tyson Badget, we will keep getting offers, and if we’re blown away with a trade offer, we will pull the trigger on moving him. As for Caleb Williams, it puts us in a good spot contract-wise. He’s going to want a big pay raise soon, and if he can’t play consistently, well, there is a plan B in Sawyer Robertson.
With Sawyer Robertson, The Bears Will Win The Super Bowl
The goal for the Bears is to finally make the Super Bowl, and after putting themselves as a threat, they have to seal up that quarterback position. There is still an unknown with the status of both Caleb Williams and Tyson Badget. Let’s get the Plan B of Sawyer Robertson on the team.
You know what’s funny, the unknown of not understanding when it’s all a joke like this piece is. Yes, that’s right, Happy April Fools Day Everybody. Imagine if the Bears did somehow draft Sawyer Robertson in the later rounds of the draft, that would be crazy.
