New York Giants Week 8 Preview: Steel City Showdown

New York Giants Week 8 has the team in a rough spot.

Week eight of the NFL season is ending and this New York Giants Week 8 preview on Monday could get hot. With a losing streak for the Giants, it could get long against a strong Steelers team. The Giants, after struggling, face a juggernaut in the Steelers’ defense. New York’s offense could be facing a nightmare with TJ Watt in the pass rush against the Giants offensive line.

New York’s offense has been a nightmare for fans, and the defense is not helping with the injuries. With more injuries for the Giants’ defense, it could make everything worse on Monday night. The Giants’ defense could face a rough time against the Steelers improving offensive run game. This New York Giants Week 8 preview could showcase the Giants’ flaws before Monday night at Pittsburgh.

New York Giants Week 8 Preview: Non-Existent Offense

In today’s New York Giants Week 8 preview, the team will face a top-five defense in the Pittsburgh Steelers. New York’s offense has been putrid all season, with Daniel Jones and the run game struggling. The Giants offense was nearly invisible last week in losing against the Eagles.

New York’s offensive line has also struggled with injuries to Andrew Thomas and other linemen. The Giants losing their offensive line captain has impacted the team, in losing their blindside tackle. Pittsburgh’s defense could have a field day with Watt and the pass rush having many sacks.

New York Giants Week 8 Preview: Battered Defense

Another issue in this New York Giants Week 8 preview, is the defense with injuries on the line. During practice for Monday night, the Giants might lose Dexter Lawernce who did not practice. Losing one of the best defensive tackles could be devastating for the Giants’ defense in a defensive battle.

Along with losing Lawrence is the Giants losing Thibodeaux for another week, and more during this primetime game. Thibodeaux being hurt harms the Giants’ defensive pass rush which could make things easy for Russell Wilson. Even with Brian Burns healthy enough for week eight, the Giants will miss two great defenders. The Giants will be facing an improved Steelers run game with Najee Harris and Jaylen Warren. With the Giants’ defensive front being hurt, the Steelers could run the ball all over the Giants’ defense on Monday.

Final Thoughts

Today’s New York Giants Week 8 preview, has the team with another brutal loss against a real contender in Pittsburgh. The New York Giants’ offense has been awful this season and could get worse against the Steelers’ defense. New York’s offense has been weak with the passing game being putrid and the run game being non-existent.

The Giants’ offense, while underachieving at best, has been healthy, unlike the defense which is injury-riddled. New York potentially losing Dexter Lawrence for the week along with Kayvon Thibodeaux will be ugly. With the Steelers’ offense doing well, the Giants’ defense could have a long night at Pittsburgh. Today’s New York Giants Week 8 preview shows the team could have a long night in another lost season.
