It has been a miserable season for the Pelicans. They have the second-worst record in the Western Conference and will miss the NBA Playoffs this year. The team also decided to trade away one of their best players at the NBA Trade Deadline sending Forward Brandon Ingram to the Toronto Raptors.
The team’s offense has been poor this season. They are 21st in points scored, 24th in field goal percentage, and 24th in three-point percentage. New Orleans’ defense has not been any better this year. They are 26th in points allowed, 28th in opposing field goal percentage, and 23rd in opposing three-point percentage. A bad offense and defense have led to the New Orleans Pelicans having such a poor season on the court.
