Next Steps

The Mavericks begin a five-game road trip starting in the desert at the Phoenix Suns on Tuesday, Feb. 10, at 7:00 p.m. Mountain. Dallas’ goals for a win should be to improve their shooting efficiency, force turnovers, and develop strong shooting guards, such as Max Christie, who has shown potential in Dallas but might need to be more reliable amid the team’s injuries.

The Spurs begin a two-game road trip starting in Hollywood at the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday, Feb. 10, at 7:30 p.m. Pacific. San Antonio’s goals for a win should be for players such as Victor Wembanyama to create space, match or exceed Luka Dončić’s offensive playmaking, and win in clutch moments to compete effectively against the Lakers’ home advantage.
