Guard Ryan Nembhard Agrees To Two-Way Contract With Dallas Mavericks
Guard Ryan Nembhard, after going undrafted during the two-day 2025 NBA Draft, has found a home in the National Basketball Association. He signed a two-way contract with the Dallas Mavericks late last night.
Nembhard comes to the NBA following a standout stint in college. He spent the first two seasons at Creighton before transferring to Gonzaga for his final two seasons of collegiate play. The guard was a member of the Big East All-Freshman Team and a two-time All-WCC member. The Gonzaga product also led the nation in assists during the 2024-2025 season. How will Nembhard fit with the Dallas Mavericks?

Nembhard signed with a Dallas Mavericks team that will have lofty expectations heading into the 2025-2026 campaign. He will play alongside No. 1 overall pick Cooper Flagg, and future Hall of Famers Klay Thompson and Anthony Davis. Point Guard Kyrie Irving, following an ACL tear on March 3, is looking to return to the hardwood early next year. Dallas will have one of the best starting lineups in the league once Irving comes back.
That is where the Gonzaga guard can make an imprint on the team. He can be one of the team’s primary ballhandlers until Irving is healthy enough to return. Other point guards on the team’s roster are Brandon Williams and Spencer Dinwiddie. Nembhard will look to break into the rotation with a successful NBA 2K26 Summer League and training camp.
Final Thoughts
It is unclear how successful Nembhard’s time with the Dallas Mavericks will be. But he does have one key indicator on his side. Ryan’s brother, Andrew, was a crucial member of the improbable playoff run by the Indiana Pacers. Ryan will look to have his successful college career translate to making an imprint at the next level.
