Tyrese Proctor Drafted by Eastern Conference Contender in 2025 NBA Draft

Duke guard Tyrese Proctor will bring his shooting to the 2024-25 Eastern Conference 1 seed Cleveland Cavaliers, at Pick 49 of the 2025 NBA Draft on Thursday evening. Proctor will bring some good shooting along with some good basketball intelligence. Proctor is a little bit of an older player, like most of these second-round guys, who could be a guy who can be inserted into a lineup and be ready for a role right away, as he had a great college career in Durham. Proctor’s 2024-25 Stats and How He Fits with Cavs

Proctor, as one of the veterans of that Duke team that went to the Final Four, averaged 12.4 points per game, 3.0 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game. He was overshadowed by the Freshman class, but was a solid shooter at 40.5 percent from three-point range this past season in college. The Aussie is going to be a great pro for the Cavs as he brings great shooting from the perimeter and will give effort on the defensive end of the court. 

The Cavaliers are going to be a great situation for the Duke prospect to give him a chance to develop in the long run, as they have great guard play already. I think Proctor can be a Jarred McCain vibe to this Cavaliers team when he’s ready to fulfill the role needed.
