Milwaukee Bucks Star Giannis Antetokounmpo Rounding Into Form For 2025 NBA Playoffs
Milwaukee Bucks Power Forward Giannis Antetokounmpo is finding his form at precisely the right time. He has been great in April. Antetokounmpo is averaging 31.8 points, 12 rebounds, and 11.8 rebounds this month on 61% shooting from the field. He is also leading the NBA in assists over that stretch.
Even though Antetokounmpo is one of the best players in the National Basketball Association, he has not had success in the NBA Playoffs as of late. He missed the playoffs last season with a calf injury and was limited to 3 games in the 2023 postseason. Antetokounmpo’s last playoff win came against the Boston Celtics in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals in May 2022. Will he be able to remain healthy and take the Milwaukee Bucks on a deep playoff run?
Milwaukee Bucks Season Summary
Milwaukee earned the No. 5 seed in the Eastern Conference during the regular season. That sets them up for a matchup with the Indiana Pacers in the 1st Round of the NBA Playoffs. These squads faced off in the last round of last year’s postseason. Indiana advanced in six games with Antetokounmpo unable to suit up.
Even though Antetokounmpo is healthy heading into the playoffs for the first time in three years, it will be an uphill battle for the all-time great. Point Guard Damian Lillard, who has been out since March 18 with a blood clot in his calf, will be out for at least Game 1 of this series. The point guard has reportedly been ramping up basketball activities, but his timeline for a return to the court is unknown. The Milwaukee Bucks need a healthy Lillard to go on a deep playoff run.
Final Thoughts
Antetokounmpo will need to muster everything he has to overcome a balanced Pacers team. If the Milwaukee Bucks win, the two-time NBA MVP will need to be at his best. The basketball world will be watching to see if Antetokounmpo can help Milwaukee advance.
