However, Russell faced a challenging year during the 2024-25 NBA season. He averaged 12.6 points and 5.1 assists per game, while playing 58 games split between the Los Angeles Lakers and Brooklyn Nets. His three-point percentage plummeted to a career-low 31.4%, an oddity for him.
