Running Back Najee Harris Expected To Have a Robust Market This Offseason

Najee Harris

Pro Bowl Running Back Najee Harris will reportedly have a robust market as he is set to become a free agent this offseason. He is coming off a strong 2024 campaign with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was seventh in the league in carries and 14th in rushing yards. His numbers were held down by the team using both him and Jaylen Warren at the position this year.

Harris was drafted No. 24 overall by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the 2021 NFL Draft. The best season of his career was his rookie year when he was named to his lone Pro Bowl. The star running back was set to be a free agent following the 2024 regular season when the Steelers declined his fifth-year option last offseason. Where will Harris play in 2025?

Which Teams Have Been Linked To Najee Harris?

With free agency a few days from officially beginning, the Steelers running back has been linked to the Los Angeles Chargers and Minnesota Vikings. Harris would be a good fit with either of these teams as they are eyeing stability at the position.

Los Angeles had a middling rushing attack during the regular season. Their key running backs, J.K. Dobbins and Gus Edwards played 13 and 11 games respectively. The Vikings had a mediocre rushing attack as well. Aaron Jones is also set to become a free agent next week.

Final Thoughts

The Chargers and Vikings are just two of the teams that will be interested in Harris this offseason. With the performances of Saquon Barkley and Derrick Henry this year, the running back position is no longer being devalued. Harris will look to parlay that into a lucrative contract this offseason.
