New York Mets Right Fielder Juan Soto Continues His Great June
New York Mets Right Fielder Juan Soto has rebounded from a slow start to the 2025 season by playing great in June. He continued his red-hot month with a solo home run this evening on the road against the Pittsburgh Pirates. His performance on Friday did not help New York be successful. They are down 9-1 at the time of publication. Soto was removed from the game in the bottom of the 7th inning.
Soto is hitting .325 with 11 home runs and 19 RBI in June. That is the most home runs for the right fielder in a month since he hit 11 round-trippers in August 2020. Will he carry this momentum into the rest of the season?

Soto has been one of the best players in Major League Baseball since debuting with the Washington Nationals in 2018. He is a five-time Silver Slugger, a four-time MLB All-Star, and a World Series champion(2019.) He has also won a batting title and has five top-10 finishes in MVP voting.
Soto’s career has included stints with the Washington Nationals, San Diego Padres, New York Yankees, and New York Mets. The 2025 season brought with it the most pressure in the perennial all-star’s career. He signed the most lucrative contract in league history with the Mets in December 2024. He is beginning to live up to it as he has found his form this month.
Final Thoughts
Soto and the New York Mets return to the diamond tomorrow afternoon for the middle game of their three-game set against the Pittsburgh Pirates. The star right fielder has two more games in Pittsburgh as he looks to finish the month off strong.
