Detroit is the only team in league history to have a 13-game stretch where they were outscored by 50 or more, were outhit by 50 or more, had fewer than 25 XBH, and struck out 125 or more times. To add insult to injury, the Detroit Tigers had the league’s best record before these awful few weeks. Can Detroit regain its form from earlier in the season?

They are 17th in batting average, ninth in home runs, and sixth in runs scored. Left Fielder Riley Greene is still top 10 in the league in home runs and RBI, though.
Detroit’s pitching staff has also been battered. They are 11th in team ERA, 14th in opposing batting average, and 10th in WHIP. Starting Pitcher Tarik Skubal is putting together another CY Young-caliber campaign to steady the unit. He is seventh in the league in wins, second in ERA, second in strikeouts, and leading the league in WHIP.
