Miami Dolphins Raheem Mostert Expected to be OUT vs. Tennessee Titans in Week 4

Raheem Mostert, Miami Dolphins

The Miami Dolphins are dealing with injuries to key players and their offense has suffered a bit. One player who is dealing with injuries is running back Raheem Mostert, as he has a chest injury. He is officially listed as questionable, but it looks like he is not going to be able to suit up for the Miami Dolphins on Monday Night Football against the Tennessee Titans. Let’s take a closer look at what this means going forward for the team as they try to keep their heads above water in the AFC East.

Tom Pelissero of NFL Network is reporting that Miami Dolphins running back Raheem Mostert is not expected to be available for tonight’s Monday Night Football matchup against the Tennessee Titans, despite being listed as questionable. The offense is going to look a bit different as Tyler Huntley is going to be the starting quarterback after Tua Tagovailoa suffered another concussion and was placed on Injured Reserve.

Raheem Mostert has not played since Week 1 due to the injury and the veteran running back is coming off a career season where he had 209 carries for 1,012 yards (4.8 yards per attempt) and 18 rushing touchdowns in 2023. This means the Miami Dolphins are going to need to depend on the likes of De’Von Achane and Jeff Wilson Jr. to step up and take some more of the workload.

Achane has essentially been the Miami Dolphins’ bell-cow running back this year, with 43 of the 77 rushing attempts. Fourth-round rookie running back Jaylen Wright could also see an increased role in the Miami Dolphins offense as he has yet to see more than five carries in a game.

The Raheem Mostert injury has been one of the factors for the lack of offense out of the Miami Dolphins this season as they are 25th in rushing (95.0 yards per game) and dead last in points (11.0 per game). The team needs to figure out how to put points on the board if they want to keep their season alive before they pile up too many losses early in the season. They have had the injury bug but need to figure out how to overcome that if they want to make the postseason this year.
