The Miami Dolphins and Cornerback Jalen Ramsey are reportedly exploring a trade this offseason. According to NFL insiders, it would not come as a surprise if Ramsey were to have a new home in 2025. The star corner is due $25.1 million this upcoming season. He signed a three-year contract extension with the franchise before the 2024 season. He was the league’s highest-paid cornerback at the time of the deal.
He had another strong season with the Miami Dolphins. He had 60 tackles and 2 interceptions. According to PFF, he was the No. 16 ranked overall cornerback and No. 10 against the run. He also led all players at his position in pressures in 2024. Will Ramsey find a new home?
Jalen Ramsey Career Summary
The #Dolphins and seven-time Pro Bowl CB Jalen Ramsey are mutually set to explore trade options and it wouldn’t be a surprise if he played elsewhere in 2025, per me and @TomPelissero.

He has been one of the NFL’s best cornerbacks over the last decade. He is a 7-time Pro Bowl selection and 3 All-Pro teams. He also won a Super Bowl with the Los Angeles Rams. Ramsey was drafted No. 5 overall by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the 2016 NFL Draft. He was then traded to Los Angeles in October 2019.
The All-Pro has been with the Miami Dolphins for the past two seasons. He has 534 career tackles, 108 passes defended, and 24 interceptions. His performance on the gridiron should lead to a call from the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
Final Thoughts
Ramsey would be a great addition to an NFL team, but the issue deals with compensation. Will the Dolphins and the star cornerback find a team that fits both of their needs? If that is the case, he will be on the fourth NFL team of his career.
