Erik Ten Hag is having a hard time holding in his emotions after a tough draw last week in the Premier League. Manchester United are fighting for a favorable finish in the table and need every point they can get. However, nobody saw a 2-2 draw against Bournemouth on the cards for the infamous Reds. And once a reporter pointed out a disheartening statistic, Ten Hag had simply had enough.

The Manchester United manager refused to comment on a harsh statistic revealed by a reporter during the post-match press conference. After failing to beat a struggling Bournemouth side in the Premier League, Ten Hag was rightly annoyed and upset at the result. The interviewers love to be dramatic, poking and prodding at coaches to see if they can get a reaction.
And they did.
A reporter stated that Manchester United could have their worst-ever record and league finish in the Prem. That mind-blowing statistic and harsh delivery caused Erik Ten Hag to just walk out of the press conference in anger and disbelief.
This isn’t the only time this season Ten Hag has had issues with social media or taking quotes out of context.
When asked about the lowest finish in the Premier League, Ten Hag prefers to answer in short and blunt statements.
‘I don’t have to comment, as it’s not relevant now.’
If that doesn’t sum up the frustration the club has felt the entire year, we don’t know what will.
Plus, when Ten Hag was asked about the potential of making a top four finish, he didn’t seem too hopeful.
‘We will do what we can, but I’m also realistic. This group of players available – you see our back four and that is telling the story. We know the demands.’
When Ten Hag asked Antony to play in the back line, we knew there were issues. It seems like lack of belief, player selection, and tactics could all be hampering Manchester United’s season.
‘We were motivated, just not organized enough.’
Manchester United Has Had a Tough Season This Year
United are sitting in the middle of the table, which isn’t a horrible position for a team that has struggled throughout the year. However, long-term Manchester United fans know that this team should be competing for top three and top four finishes every single year.
The Reds have almost no chance of capturing the fourth place Europa League spot, which sees them out of international competition for next year.
