Manchester City looks to get a strong victory over Luton Town in today’s Premier League match.
The home team is coming off a thrilling fortitude victory over Crystal Palace. In that game, both Kevin DeBruyne and Erling Haaland were able to find the back of the net. In fact, De Bruyne was able to score twice. Meanwhile, Rico Lewis found himself in the scoring column as well.
The visitors scored a 2-1 victory over Bournemouth. Jordan Clark and Carlton Morris had a goal each. Thomas Kaminski started in goal. He faced eight shot attempts and had one save for his side.
But is there a possibility that the away team will be able to steal a point at the Etihad today?
Manchester City vs. Luton Town Notable Trends
Manchester City
Manchester City is hoping to avoid dropping points to maintain their hunt for a Premier League title. They sit in the third position in the standings, behind Liverpool and Arsenal. They’ve had strong showings, and this can be seen through their 71 goals scored and only 31 goals against. But it hasn’t necessarily clicked on all cylinders for this side like what we have seen in years past. But just like we saw last week, especially while going forward, when everything comes together, this is not only one of the better teams in England but in all of Europe.
Haaland is having what some have described as a down year. However, he is still managing to score 19 times for his side. Phil Foden has 14 goals and seven assists for Manchester City so far. De Bruyne has three goals and six assists this season. Julian Alvarez has eight goals and eight assists.
Luton Town
Despite what fans may have initially thought, Luton Town is right in the thick of things in a fierce relegation battle. They sit even with Nottingham Forest in terms of points but are slightly edged out due to goal differential. However, they could even look to leapfrog them and possibly Everton or Bradford with plenty of games to spare. It may seem unlikely, but a victory here or stealing a point there will prove dividends among a group of teams that aren’t likely to add too many more points to their season-long tally.
Morris leads the way with nine goals so far in the campaign as the only available player. Elijah Adebayo has also scored that many times, but he is not at full strength at this point in the season. Finally, Alfie Doughty is the engine in midfield, and in 28 starts, he has eight assists to his name.

Meanwhile, Mateo Kovacic was able to get on the scoresheet in that match as well.
