Los Angeles Rams-Tutu Atwell Agreed To 1-Year Deal

Los Angeles Rams

The Los Angeles Rams and Wide Receiver Tutu Atwell agreed to a 1-year $10 million on Thursday morning. Atwell’s contract includes $5 million guaranteed at signing and a $5 million base salary. Atwell is coming off a strong regular season with the Los Angeles Rams. He had 42 receptions and 562 receiving yards. Even though he did not have any touchdowns, he was a solid piece of the team. At 25, he will only continue improving for a Los Angeles Rams team with a Super Bowl-ready roster. Will this contract end up working out well for both sides?

Los Angeles Rams Offseason Outlook

Atwell will have his quarterback returning next season as Matthew Stafford and the team agreed to a restructured contract last week. The Rams receiving corps will look different next season. The Rams will be reportedly looking to trade Wide Receiver Cooper Kupp this offseason.

Los Angeles had the Philadelphia Eagles on the ropes in the NFC Divisional Round. Unfortunately, LA’s offense could not finish the job against Philadelphia’s staunch defense. Atwell will return with a solid group of pass-catchers including Puka Nacua, Demarcus Robinson, and Tyler Higbee.

Final Thoughts

Atwell coming back to the Rams was a shrewd move for both sides. The wide receiver will have stability and look to continue growing under Head Coach Sean McVay and Stafford. Atwell will provide the Rams with certainty as well. He has been in the system for the last four seasons.
