Jadon Sancho could be making his long-awaited return to England where he will get more playing time, than under Manchester United, and back from Dortmund in Germany. He played for United last year under ten Hag, but a visible dispute between the managerial staff and the player made him abruptly leave his home country for Germany to go on loan and get minutes at Borussia Dortmund.
Despite getting more time and experience in a Champions League final, he wants to return to England to break into the starting lineup. But, will he stay at United under ten Hag’s reign, or will he go elsewhere? It seems as though he is in high demand after his successful loan spell in the Bundesliga.
Jadon Sancho Back to England?
Multiple clubs around Europe have shown their interest in signing Jadon Sancho, with only one being in England in the Premier League. This gives Sancho a lot to decide between, whether he wants to stay at home or go elsewhere for a season yet again. United could end up keeping Sancho themselves, but they are open and hoping that a club will purchase the winger for around $45 million this summer transfer window.
Even though Jadon Sancho has been back training with the squad, United are keen to get rid of him. He disagreed with the coaching staff and went on loan last year, offering no help to the struggling United squad in the Premier League table. Now, they hope to make money by selling Sancho to another club so they can reap the financial benefits and sign a more committed squad member to their team.
One of the main clubs who are interested in Jadon Sancho is Paris Saint-Germain, the top team in Ligue 1 in France that is hoping to replace some of their attackers after Mbappe left to go to Real Madrid. Mbappe went to the La Liga team and Champions League winners after multiple seasons at PSG, leaving a huge gap for the Paris team in terms of goal-scoring ability. Other teams, like Juventus in La Liga and Borussia Dortmund — the Bundesliga side where he went on loan — are also keen to purchase Sancho and make it a permanent move. But, just because they are interested, it doesn’t mean they have made a deal yet that will satisfy United’s terms and conditions.
But, one thing is for certain — United wants a straight sale without any delay of fees or potential to buy later on. If they get rid of Sancho, they want the money right away. Will Erik ten Hag let bygones be bygones and keep Sancho? Maybe, but it seems as though the manager wants to have a clean slate, which could mean letting the player go to another squad altogether.
We spoke well. Anyone can make a mistake. If the player reflects well on that, then draw a line and continue again. This club needs good players, and one thing is for sure: Jadon Sancho is a terribly good player. I hope the click will come after all, and that it will contribute to our success.
Jadon Sancho Stats
Last season for Dortmund, Sancho played in seven matches and scored one goal for the club in the Champions League. During the regular season, he made 14 appearances, scored two goals, and provided two assists. During the prior season when he was there full-time, he scored eight goals and provided eleven assists in just 26 games. His most prolific season to date was in the 2019-2020 year, when he played 32 matches, scored 17 goals, and had 16 assists — it is no wonder he was on United’s radar for multiple years.
