Will This Be the Year That Bryson DeChambeau Finally Conquers the Masters?
Bryson DeChambeau has undoubtedly had a complicated relationship with the Masters and Augusta National Golf Club. That was on display for the world to see last year in the final round of the 2025 Masters. He found himself in the final pairing with Rory McIlroy on Sunday. Unfortunately, things did not go according to plan for the American.
He fired a final-round 75 to finish T5, and had to wait another year to don the historic Green Jacket. With DeChambeau entering Augusta National in great form, will this be the year that he finally breaks through?
DeChambeau’s Current Form and Wednesday Hijinks
DeChambeau participated in the Par 3 Contest earlier today with a world-famous entertainer at his side. Comedian Kevin Hart was DeChambeau’s caddie during this afternoon’s festivities. This showed a lighter side to the major champion as he looks to conquer Augusta National Golf Club. He had a stress-free stroll before beginning a 72-hole gauntlet.
DeChambeau has also been on fire recently on the LIV Golf circuit. He won in back-to-back starts in Singapore and South Africa before taking the drive down Magnolia Lane. He also added a third-place at LIV Golf Adelaide back in February. It is safe to say that few players are entering the Masters as hot as he is.
What To Expect From Bryson This Week?
DeChambeau will begin his quest for the Green Jacket tomorrow at 10:07 a.m. ET. With the way he has been playing heading into the Masters, and the heartbreak in the final round last year, the golf world will be watching to see if the polarizing figure will add the biggest trophy in the game to his mantle.
