WrestleMania 42 has officially been confirmed as one of the highest-grossing events in WWE history, further strengthening the company’s momentum under the TKO Group banner. The two-night event, which took place on April 18 and 19, 2026, at Allegiant Stadium, achieved a significant financial milestone, a record digital viewership, and an attendance record.

Although WWE has not released a final combined revenue figure for the weekend, several key metrics show the scale of the event’s success. WrestleMania 42 was one of the most lucrative premium live events in the company, with sponsorship, merchandise sales, and media presence. The success also solidified Las Vegas as a major destination for major wrestling shows.

Crowds Hit 106,000 Across Both Nights

A total of 106,072 fans attended WrestleMania 42 over two nights at Allegiant Stadium. The attendance was 50,816 at Night One and 55,256 at Night Two. WWE further observed that tickets were sold in all 50 US states and in over 69 countries, underscoring WrestleMania’s worldwide popularity.

The strong turnout created an electric atmosphere throughout the weekend and confirmed the drawing power of WWE’s biggest annual event. Las Vegas once again benefited from hosting a major sports-entertainment attraction that brought fans from around the world to the city.

Major Incentives From Las Vegas

WWE reportedly received a $6 million site fee from the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority in exchange for bringing WrestleMania to the city. In addition, reports stated the company secured approximately $4.3 million in tax incentives and related benefits. combined. That placed the total local support package at around $10.3 million.

The investment highlighted how valuable WrestleMania is viewed as an economic attraction, with host cities willing to compete for the event due to tourism, hospitality, and international exposure. Las Vegas was originally scheduled to host back-to-back WrestleManias after a venue adjustment moved the 2026 edition from New Orleans.

Record Sponsorship and Merchandise Success

WrestleMania 42 featured a record 32 marketing partners, underlining the commercial strength of the WWE brand. Major companies involved included Snickers, DoorDash, Wingstop, Ram, Riyadh Season, PepsiCo brands, and several others. WWE also announced that merchandise, VIP experiences, WWE World fan activities, and premium packages all delivered record or near-record returns.

The five-day WWE World experience, produced in partnership with Fanatics, reportedly reached all-time highs in paid attendance and fan participation. That continued the company’s strategy of expanding WrestleMania beyond the matches themselves into a week-long entertainment festival.

Huge Media and Digital Numbers

The event also posted major broadcasting and online success. WrestleMania Saturday became the most-watched telecast of the year on ESPN2, while WrestleMania Sunday was the most-viewed program of the entire weekend on ESPN. Digitally, WrestleMania 42 set a new company record with more than 1.3 billion views across social media platforms. That figure represented an 18 percent increase over the previous record set by WrestleMania 41.

These figures show that WWE is gaining traction in younger and global audiences, particularly via streaming and social media networks. Another noteworthy event of this year was also streaming on the ESPN app in the United States and on Netflix overseas.

Unforgettable Matchups

The financial results were matched by headline moments inside the ring. Roman Reigns defeated CM Punk in the Night Two main event to capture the World Heavyweight Championship. During Night One, Cody Rhodes also managed to keep the Undisputed WWE Championship against Randy Orton, although he was initially interfered with by Pat McAfee. Such star games helped raise interest on both evenings.

Plans For WrestleMania 43

Having already set an excellent precedent with WrestleMania 42, one of the most successful events in the company’s history, WWE has set a high standard for the future.  The company has already confirmed WrestleMania 43 will take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in 2027, as WWE continues expanding its global reach.
