Ricochet Steals Victory Over Chris Jericho As Chaos Erupts In Explosive Trios Main Event

Chris Jericho Entrance AEW With Baseball Bat

A spirited and vocal crowd turned out to watch Collision Playoff Palooza close out with a wild Trios match between “The Hurt Syndicate,” Chris Jericho, and “The Demand” in Portland. Local fans were not fans of “The Demand,” but they were all for Jericho and his sidekicks, with a large “Judas” chorus being sung along to during entrances, setting the tone for an eventful match.

MVP joined the commentary for the much-anticipated bout, further fuelling the energy and atmosphere. Jericho also started to interact with the crowd early in the match, briefly accepting a “BALD” sign from a fan, just before the match officially started.

Quick Start, Quick Fight, Quick Brawl

The contest started with Jericho and Ricochet, but quickly descended into mayhem as Kaun and Liona joined the action. Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin soon joined the fray, turning it into a six-man brawl.

Bodies began flying early, with Lashley clearing Kaun with a running knee and a clothesline over the top rope. Benjamin added impact of his own by dropping Liona with a DDT, while Jericho built momentum by diving onto all three members of “The Demand” outside the ring. The audience erupted as Jericho circled ringside, clearly drawing momentum from the atmosphere.

Momentum Swings Back and Forth

The pace slowed briefly when “The Demand “isolated Jericho and forced him into their corner. Ricochet and Kaun began working quick tags to keep Jericho grounded, but Jericho managed to fight back with a back body drop before eventually reaching Lashley.

Once Lashley entered, the momentum shifted dramatically. He immediately overpowered Kaun and Ricochet, striking both with heavy offense and delivering a jumping Flatliner followed by a spinning Dominator.

Liona tried hard to change the rhythm but was thrown out of the ring, allowing Benjamin to enter and continue the assault. Benjamin showcased his skills, launched multiple German suplexes on Kaun, and even caught Ricochet mid-air for a brutal throw.

High-Impact Finish Builds Toward Chaos

As the match reached its peak, all six competitors collided in the ring once again. Jericho applied the Walls of Jericho at one point, but Liona’s size and interference prevented any submission finish. Lashley and Benjamin continued to neutralize threats on the outside, while Jericho and Ricochet exchanged big offense inside the ring.

Jericho landed an avalanche hurricanrana, Lashley delivered a spear, and Benjamin hit a super exploder suplex that nearly ended the match. Ricochet stayed alive, kicking out of multiple near-falls as the pace reached a frantic level.

Ricochet Owns the Moment

In the closing moments, chaos fully took over. With refereeing attention distracted and bodies scattered around the ring, Ricochet managed to create a brief opening. After escaping another submission attempt, he struck Jericho with a low blow that went unseen by the official.

This pivotal moment changed the match. Ricochet quickly took advantage by delivering his Ricosault, pinning his opponent for the win and surprising the audience in Portland. For all the efforts of “The Hurt Syndicate” and Jericho, it was “The Demand” that stood the test of time.

Post-Match Statement

With the match bell, “The Demand” huddled up to celebrate their hard-fought win on the stage, bringing Collision Playoff Palooza to a chaotic end. The result shocked the audience after a high-tempo, brutal contest with constant shifts in momentum and brutal moves from all six wrestlers. Ultimately, Ricochet capitalized on a second chance opportunity in a chaotic main event.
