Rhea Ripley & Iyo Sky Retain Titles at Saturday Night’s Main Event

Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky were able to retain their WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event in a fun match against The Judgement Day’s Liv Morgan and Roxanne Perez. The match was back-and-forth for a majority, but it appeared the champions were getting ready to retain. The third woman in The Judgment Day, Raquel Rodriguez, would come out of nowhere and stop the referee from making the three-count.
However, this would bring out the WWE Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer to even the odds. Ripley and Sky would win the match and keep their tag titles. They are set to face WWE Women’s United States Champion Giulia and Kiana James for their next championship defense, but when that match will take place is yet to be announced.
This was a fun showing as the women’s tag team division has seen a lot more focus over the last handful of months. With Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky as champions, it elevates the division and the championships as a whole. It will be intriguing to see how long they will remain champions and what they will do going forward.
