WWE Raw Preview: Unmasking Chaos and The Road To Retiring a Legend
Alright, let’s get one thing straight: Raw needs to have answers. After Saturday night’s Survivor Series: WarGames, the entire WWE universe is asking the same question: Who the heck was that masked dude? It was pure, unadulterated chaos. One minute, Team Vision is on the ropes, and the next, some Zorro-wannabe scales the cage, lays out World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk with a superkick and a stomp, and basically hands Bron Breakker the win on a silver platter.
Breakker, looking like a runaway freight train, capitalized by spearing CM Punk into the middle of next week and getting the three-count. All this went down in front of 46,000 screaming fans at Petco Park, who probably spilled their beer trying to figure out what they just saw.
The internet, of course, went into a complete meltdown. Was it Seth Rollins in disguise? My grandma in a luchador mask? The suspense is killing us. With WrestleMania season breathing down our necks, this victory is a massive momentum shift for The Vision. But how does the champ, CM Punk, recover from getting punked out like that? And seriously, when do we get the big reveal? Hopefully, tonight’s Raw in Glendale, Arizona, gives us some answers instead of more riddles.
Dirty Dom and the Return Of Liv Morgan
Speaking of answers, weโre expecting to hear from the newly re-crowned Men’s Intercontinental Champion, “Dirty” Dom Mysterio, on Monday Night Raw. The guy got his title back from the legendary John Cena, but let’s be real, he had some serious help.
Liv Morgan, making a shocking return from injury, decided the “Greatest of All-Time” needed a low blow more than he needed a championship belt. That textbook heel move allowed “Daddy Dom” to become a double champ again. You have to respect the hustle, even if it is slimy. What will the smug duo have to say for themselves tonight on Raw? You can bet it’ll be insufferable, and we’ll love to hate every second of it.
The Last Time Is Now: Who Gets To Retire John Cena?
And about John Cena… his legendary career is down to its final chapter. His last match is set for Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13, and the tournament to decide his final opponent is heating up like a habanero in a microwave. Tonight, we get the two semifinal matches, and they are absolute bangers.
Gunther vs. Solo Sikoa
First up, “The Ring General” Gunther takes on Solo Sikoa. Let’s be honest, Gunther was the odds-on favorite from the second his name was pulled. The guy is a walking, chopping machine who looks like he was carved out of granite. He had to work for it against Je’Von Evans and Carmelo Hayes, but he came out on top. Now he faces Solo Sikoa, the stoic enforcer who bulldozed his way through Dolph Ziggler and Penta. This is going to be a classic slobber knocker. It’s brute force vs. brute force. Don’t blink, or you might miss a chest-caving chop.
LA Knight vs. Jey Uso
In the other semifinal, itโs a showdown between two of the hottest acts in WWE. For the first time in this whole tournament, the Megastar LA Knight actually knows his opponent beforehand. Heโs been on a tear, taking out Zack Ryder and The Miz, and now he’s staring down “Main Event” Jey Uso. These two have been at each other’s throats all fall, and now they get to settle it with the ultimate prize on the line: a chance to be the man who retires John Cena. The energy will be off the charts. YEAH!
A Phenomenal Title Defense
If that’s not enough, the World Tag Team Championships are on the line. The unlikely but electrifying duo of AJ Styles and Dragon Lee will defend their titles against The New Day. Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods have been complaining for months, mourning the “death of the tag team division” ever since losing their titles. They finally wore down Raw GM Adam Pearce, who granted them this shot. Can The New Day ride a wave of positivity (and pancakes) to their 14th tag team championship, or will the phenomenal pairing of Styles and Lee prove to be too much?
More Fallout From WarGames
And you can bet we haven’t heard the last of the women’s division. The new Women’s World Champion, Stephanie Vaquer, will surely be making her presence felt after her big win over Nikki Bella. And then there’s Becky Lynch.
“The Man” is probably in the foulest mood imaginable after referee Jessika Carr’s botched call in the Women’s WarGames match. Lynch is claiming she never tapped, and knowing her, she’s on a warpath to get justice. The officiating has been questionable lately, and Lynch is not the type to let it slide. Expect fireworks on Raw.
Tonightโs Raw is shaping up to be a canโt-miss episode, live from the Desert Diamond Arena. Grab your snacks, settle in, and get ready for the fallout.
