Jim Ross Discusses Powerhouse Hobbs Possibly Debuting in 2026 Royal Rumble
Powerhouse Hobbs is one of the newest signings for WWE, but his debut has not been announced. However, it appears that one wrestling legend has potentially let the cat out of the bag. Let’s take a closer look at who it is and what they said about the former AEW star making his WWE debut.
Jim Ross Opens Up About Powerhouse Hobbs in 2026 Royal Rumble

On the most recent episode of the Grilling JR Podcast, wrestling legend Jim Ross explained how he expects to see Powerhouse Hobbs make his WWE debut in the Royal Rumble match.
“I don’t know if it’s a secret or not. He’ll be in the Royal Rumble, I think. Why in the hell would you sign a guy this close to that major event and then not utilize him? And that’ll be a new face, and he looks great. He called me a day or two ago, thanking me for my help over the years. I said, ‘Well, my phone number isn’t going to change, big fella.'”
Powerhouse Hobbs finished up with All Elite Wrestling (AEW) earlier this month and reportedly signed with World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). If he were to appear in the men’s Royal Rumble match, it would make for his official debut. However, he is not expected to keep the name he has wrestled by, as he will be having a name change of Royce Keys.
It will be intriguing to see if he, or other wrestlers, will be surprise entrants for the 2026 Royal Rumble. The event takes place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on Saturday at 2 p.m. ET.
