Orange Cassidy Leads The Conglomeration To AEW Trios Title Win Retention
Orange Cassidy and the defending AEW World Trios Champions, “The Conglomeration,” started their match with mayhem before it had even officially begun. As the champions made their way into the ring, a scuffle broke out on the ramp between Stoke and FTR, who were still hanging out ringside. The altercation quickly turned violent as Roderick Strong and Kyle O’Reilly pushed FTR to the ground, sending a warning message before the title match.
Amidst the chaos, Orange Cassidy attempted to punch Stokely, but Stokely instinctively fell to the ground. Once things seemed under control, the Conglomeration entered the ring to start their title defense.
Technical Opening Rapidly Becomes An Exciting Bout
The match between Kyle O’Reilly and Hechicero began with the two grappling on the mat for early advantage. Hechicero briefly took control of the match by controlling O’Reilly with a dragon screw through the ropes, slowing the match.
O’Reilly responded by forcing Hechicero into the corner and tagging in Roderick Strong for a double-team sequence. Orange Cassidy then entered the match and climbed to the top rope while Strong positioned Hechicero across his knee. However, Cassidy changed direction mid-move, stepping down and landing a casual elbow drop that drew a reaction from the crowd.
Lance Archer then entered the match and instantly dominated Cassidy, leaving him little choice but to retreat and make a quick tag. Archer then took control physically, knocking down Roderick with a powerful shoulder tackle after absorbing a chop.
Comedy and Chaos Mix Inside the Ring
A great moment happened when Cassidy and Andrade entered at the same time. Cassidy did his funny stuff, like teasing Andrade’s gear, and Andrade tried to stay calm and stop Cassidy from doing his thing. They started to go back and forth, and it got pretty funny. Cassidy even pulled down Andrade’s pants and hit him with a dropkick.
Then, O’Reilly and Strong got involved, taking turns hitting each other. They both landed some hits in the corners. Cassidy jumped in and hit one punch, which surprised everyone. The crowd loved it and reacted loudly. However, the momentum shifted when a miscommunication on the apron led to O’Reilly being taken out by Archer at ringside, creating an opening for The Don Callis Family to isolate Cassidy in their corner.
Champions Fight Back Against Overwhelming Pressure
Cassidy eventually broke free after taking down both Hechicero and Andrade. He sent Lance Archer to the outside and successfully tagged in O’Reilly. He immediately re-entered the match with high intensity, striking anything in his path.
The tension escalated with rapid tags and double-team combinations from both sides. Strong and O’Reilly briefly worked together to neutralize Hechicero, while Andrade and Hechicero responded with coordinated corner attacks that kept the champions on the defensive.
As the match was coming to an end, Cassidy, Strong, and O’Reilly worked together to neutralise Archer’s strength. Lance tried to recover, but Cassidy threw an “Orange Punch” while in the air, turning the match again.
Final Sequence Seals Championship Retention
While Lance Archer was exposed, O’Reilly and Strong took the opportunity to unleash a flurry of offense, and Cassidy landed a second “Orange Punch” to keep Archer on the defensive. The trio then went for Total Elimination to incapacitate him.
Strong took the opportunity to cover Archer with Cassidy. The referee called the pinfall, and “The Conglomeration” was triumphant in retaining the AEW World Trios Championship. The win was a major statement for the champions, who prevailed over chaos, interference, and brute strength to defend their titles in one of the most volatile bouts of the night.
