Former WWE Champion Returning at WWE Survivor Series: War Games 2025

WWE Survivor Series: War Games is getting ready to take place in a couple of hours, but there have been some reports of a former WWE Champion returning to the ring. Let’s take a closer look into who the former WWE Champion is and speculate on what they will be doing both on the show and going forward.

Former WWE Champion Liv Morgan Expected to Return

PWInsider’s Mike Johnson is reporting that former WWE Champion Liv Morgan is scheduled to make her WWE storyline debut tonight during Survivor Series: War Games. She has not been on any WWE programming since suffering a separated shoulder in June.

She was initially expected to be back towards the beginning of 2026, potentially even being a surprise entrant in the Royal Rumble, but has beaten expectations throughout her physical rehab of the injury.

Morgan has also filmed material for the WWE Wrestlemania 42 commercial in New York City that has yet to be released, as they were waiting for her official return. In terms of what she can be returning for, the Judgment Day’s only involvement in a match is Dominik Mysterio challenging John Cena for the Intercontinental Championship.

There is also a chance that she gets involved in the Women’s War Games match, going after Kairi Sane, who initially injured her shoulder, or her longtime rival, Rhea Ripley. It will be intriguing to see how a returning Liv Morgan is reintroduced, but we will have to wait until she is back on our screens in order to know the direction she goes in.
