Cody Rhodes & Jacob Fatu Brawl to Open WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event
Cody Rhodes and Jacob Fatu were scheduled to be the first match on the card for WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event, but the match never happened. These two have been in the midst of some drama on WWE Smackdown over the last few weeks, but it appears they will not have an official match. Let’s take a closer look at what happened and what it means for Cody Rhodes and Jacob Fatu going forward.
Cody Rhodes & Jacob Fatu Brawl to Begin Saturday Night’s Main Event

Jacob Fatu and Cody Rhodes have been entangled in some drama to lead towards their match against one another at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event. While Rhodes was making his entrance, the two men began to fight. They bashed into the referee and continued to fight throughout the entire arena.
They would continue to fight and take out security guards throughout their fight. As they were making their way through the crowd, WWE Champion Drew McIntyre would come from nowhere and push Jacob Fatu off the platform through a table. He would next hit a low blow on Cody Rhodes before powerbombing him through another table before walking off.
Jacob Fatu and Cody Rhodes will be able to potentially get their hands on one another next week in the 2026 WWE Royal Rumble match. It will be intriguing to see how their story continues, but it will not be with them having a triple threat match at the WWE Royal Rumble, as the winner of the fatal four way at Saturday Night’s Main Event will face McIntyre for the WWE Championship at the event.
